Pros & Cons

Though we believe we have a great program, we felt it was important to give the pros and cons of our Sacramento recycling fundraising program.

Pro: The entire program utilizes funding that most people are currently discarding.

Con: The 10% of people who currently do turn in their recyclables will probably not utilize the program.

Pro: The average per person contribution for SIA's recycling program is greater than most other fundraising projects.

Con: As you will have to wait up to two weeks for out first pickup of your contributors you will not get the instant money of some other fundraising programs.

Pro: You do not have to have any inventory that you or anyone else promoting your fundraiser and have no liabilities that you may with other fundraising.

Con: Without any single set price, you may find it difficult to set any single financial goal by sales goal.

Pro: The fact that people can keep the money for themselves after your program is over generally means more people will sign up than any other fundraiser requiring any kind of commitment.
